Ingredients
- 1 Box of Noodles
- Broccoli
CHEESE SAUCE
- 3 1/2 Cup Boiling Water
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Pinch of Turmeric
- 1/4 Cup Oil
- 1 Cup Nutritional Yeast
Directions
- Cook noodles accordingly, strain and put into a baking pan.
- Cut broccoli into bite sized chunks, steam until cooked and then place into the baking pan with the noodles.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
CHEESE SAUCE
- Boil 3 1/2 cups of water.
- In a medium (thick bottomed) pot, on medium-low heat, melt the butter.
- Add the flour to the pot and whisk until smooth and bubbly.
- Slowly add the boiling water to the pot, whisking the entire time.
- Add salt, soy sauce, garlic powder and turmeric to the pot.
- Turn heat up and cook sauce until thick, stirring occasionally.
- Add oil and nutritional yeast and continue to cook another few minutes.
ASSEMBLE
- Pour sauce over noodles and stir to combine.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
Notes:
I like using the rice noodles from trader joes.
