Ingredients
COOKIES
- 1/2 Cup Browned Butter
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Tablespoon Vanilla
- 1 1/4 Cup Flour
- 1/8 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 Packet Hot Chocolate
- 1/2 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- Pinch of Cayenne Powder
- 1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 Cup Marshmallows
Directions
PREP AND BAKE
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place butter in a saucepan and melt over medium heat, stirring until it foams up and starts to turn brown. Remove from heat, scrap the pan and let it cool.
- In a large bowl, add your sugars and whisk to combine.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, hot chocolate, cornstarch, baking soda, salt and cayenne.
- In the large bowl with sugar, pour in the butter and whisk to combine.
- Add egg and vanilla to sugar bowl and whisk until fluffy.
- Add bowl of dry ingredients to bowl and fold until just combined.
- Add chocolate chips and marshmallows and fold in. Don’t overmix!
- Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper, scoop cookie dough and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Top with sea salt, if you please.
Notes:
The dough was looking very dry when I was combining it, so I didn’t put all of the flour mixture in and then the cookies spread a lot when baking… so I should probably follow this recipe 🙂
