Ingredients
- 1 lb. French Green Beans
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 Cup Sliced Almonds
- 1 Shallot
- Finely Chopped
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- Finely Chopped
- Zest from 1 Lemon
- 2 Teaspoons Lemon Juice
- Black Pepper
Directions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and prep an ice bath in a large bowl.
- Cook beans until crisp tender (slightly undercooked).
- Drain and transfer to ice bath to cool. Drain from ice bath.
- In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter until bubbling.
- Add almonds and stir frequently until golden brown.
- Reduce heat to low and add shallots and garlic, stir occasionally until fragrant.
- Add green beans and toss until combined and beans are tender.
- Stir in lemon zest and juice. Add salt and pepper and serve.
